Temaki Sushi Spread (手巻き寿司)

A temaki sushi spread is an easy dinner party option because there’s minimal cooking and everything can be prepped before your guests arrive. I’ve only poached some prawns, cooked a tamagoyaki as a vegetarian option and the sushi rice but the rest is all fresh ingredients that I’ve just sliced up.

It’s a really simple and interactive way to enjoy sushi because once everything is on the table, everyone can just roll their own temaki with a layer of rice on a nori sheet, add their own fillings and then roll into a quick cone shape and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 200-300g of sashimi grade salmon, sliced finely
  • 200-300g of sashimi grade tuna, sliced finely
  • 200-300g of sashimi grade kingfish, sliced finely
  • 1 tamagoyaki made from 4-5 eggs, sliced into 10cm batons
  • 10 banana prawns, poached and halved
  • 1 jar (50g) of salmon caviar
  • 50g of sliced pickled ginger

  • 2 cups of sushi rice, cooked
