Garlic Bread Grilled Cheese

Garlic bread meets grilled cheese, where I've made a garlic bread spread and spread that onto the bread slices before grilling. A very quick and easy recipe to enjoy on it's own or dipped into some soup for a lunch.

Serves- 1

Ingredients- 6

Cooking Time- 15 minutes

Skill Level- Easy

Ingredients

2 tablespoons of kewpie mayonnaise

1 garlic clove, finely chopped

1 stalk of flat parsley, finely chopped

Pinch of salt

2 slices of white sourdough bread

1 cups worth of your choice of shredded cheese. I went with tasty cheese, aged cheddar, red leister and parmigiano reggiano.

Method

  1. Make the galore bread spread by combining mayo, garlic, parsley and salt in a bowl.

  2. Spread on both sides of the slices of bread.

  3. Top each slice with the shredded cheese.

  4. Place into a pan on low to medium heat. Place a lid on the pan and allow to cook on low to medium for 1-2 minutes or until the outer edges of the cheese has melted.

  5. Sandwich the slices together and cook for another 2 minutes on each side, flipping until golden brown and the cheese inside has melted.

  6. Transfer to a chopping board and cut in half.

  7. Enjoy!
